Review: Sub Zero is one of Second Life’s hottest clubs for the
best Industrial, EBM, Gothic, Darkwave, Electro, Synthpop music! This club is rather unique as it is literally a submarine! When you TP to Sub
Zero you will land on the dock just outside of The Sub. There will be a rather large teleporter right in front of you to take you into the club,
however you can also walk over a bridge and enter through an open hatch on the roof.
Once inside, you will find the design fairly simple. It is not at all complicated to locate the DJ Booth, Tip Jars, and Sploder. The dance floor
is simply metal grating. This is low lag and easier on the eyes than some of those wild dance floors. At Sub Zero you will not find any
strippers/ dance poles. There are only three tip jars at Sub Zero, one for the DJ, one for a host and one for the club. Contests are rare, as
most people just come back again and again for the atmosphere and music! Everyone is welcome at Sub Zero and no one is discriminated against. So,
be you furry, dragon, vampire, Neko, or whatever...you will likely be made to feel very much at home.
As a guest in The Sub, you will notice the staff are like a family, and work well together. Conversation often
flows easily, and holds a good dose of quirky humour. The DJ’s are the best-of-the-best! Many of them have real life connections to the music
industry/world. They have a real passion for their SL job and for the music they play. They take requests gladly, and often interact with the
crowd well. The hosts are personable, friendly and always willing to be helpful. Owners, management and off-duty staff are often found in the
Club and are all helpful and inviting.
Some other great things about Sub Zero: It has a very large and dedicated VIP Group, and often attracts good crowds. It also has its own web page
too! Another very cool feature of this club is that it is available over the internet, to listen to the music even
when you can’t be in SL. You can tune into Sub Zero Radio remotely. If this is your kind of music, you don't want to miss this club.
Come check it out!
Conclusion: Unique and fun...very refreshing.
