Second Life Review

Shoes
Weak in the knees for shoes in Second
Life - by Hottie Something
Shoes in Second Life are as addicting as hair to shop for! Those of you who are afflicted with
this Cinderella syndrome will know what I am talking about. You will understand this need to always try on new shoes--the
endless search for that magical pair that fits just right.
There are so many sexy, cute and stylish creations made by the virtual cobblers (shoe-makers) that its hard not to buy way more than is
practical to own. But what is practical about virtual shoes? If they are not practical then let's not worry about restrictions of
practicality when purchasing them! There is no need to worry about the amount of money we spend on them
either. Spending thousands of Lindens on innumberable pairs of unpractical shoes barely even amounts to the cost of one pair
in RL (real life). No need to secretly bring your girlfriends to see a pair of shoes you just bought, carefully hidden under
a blanket in the closet, and say: "Aren't these cute? I just had to have them and they were on sale! But don't tell <spouses name
here>."
You can get sexy stilettos, fancy sneakers, cute pumps stylish boots and on and on. There are shoes with plain colors and some with neat
textures. There are shoes whose creators have given the utmost attention to detail and crafted something truly unique. There are shoes with
scripts to give you many options to how you want your shoes to look, sound or make your avatar move.
There are a few issues the shoe shopper should keep in mind while searching for new and wonderful shoes to buy. In Second Life our feet aren’t
very attractive. I am not kidding. Take a look at them sometime. They aren’t very shapely. That’s why we need shoes. More precisely its why we
need good shoes. A well made shoe will add curves to our feet that Linden Labs couldn’t give us. A poorly made shoe will only emphasize the flat,
skinny quality of our feet. So the best are stores that have shape enhancing shoes. With stores that have demos this is easy to determine. With
others its basically trial and error. If you don’t know what the shoe looks like and there is no demo then try asking other customers or the
owners your questions about the shoes if you are concerned about not risking L on a shoe you will not like. If you can't figure it out and
you really want those shoes then you have to risk spending a few L and possibly not liking what you get. But then maybe that's all a part
of the adventure of shoe shopping!
An example of flat feet.
An example of shapely feet.
Ok then Cinderella let's find you some shoes!
