Review: If you like thriller movies then this is
the place for you. This sim is built to replicate a thriller movie. When you first arrive you will be in a room with a camera on the floor. Click
the camera and it will give you a HUD to wear. You can explore the sim without it, but it is more fun with the HUD on. When you attach it, you
will be viewing your surroundings as if you were watching a movie. The effects are really good on this HUD; you even get the occasional static.
The only downfall with this HUD is it makes it really confusing to move your avatar. (It all reminds me of playing Resident Evil on the
Playstation). I tried it with the HUD at first, but it was so frustrating trying to control my avatar, I removed it after about 20 minutes. It’s
a shame; because the view you get with the HUD is so cool.
On one of the walls is a notice that tells you to teleport to the apartment.. This is where the terror begins. I didn’t actually have time
to view the whole sim, but what I did see was awesome and I got some great pictures to. I’ll be returning when I have more time to see the
rest of it.
There are interactive places (little flashing stars) that you can click on with animations.. Some of these are pretty
cool.
SPOILER: Look for the wardrobe that has stars in it, you can
click them and hide in the wardrobe, then a minute later you come running out like a crazed lunatic.. It’s so funny.
The place is pretty laggy, but then a lot of places are nowadays. It’s a fun place to go but expect to spend at least an hour or 2 there to
explore it all properly.
Conclusion: A Second Life Interactive thrill
ride!
