Review: The first thing I noticed when I teleported
in was that they had a really interesting concept going on there. They had free furnished apartments. Basically if one is empty its yours for as
long as you’re hanging out in it. They weren’t over crowded or anything so if you wanted to have somewhere to entertain but can’t afford a real
place to live that would be really nice.
The build on Noob Island was really nice, there was no noticeable lag and everything rezzed pretty quickly. It
had one of my favorite things in a store – a navigation system! I easily teleported to where I wanted to be from the main landing
point.
I loved the products. They were all free and even though they had some of the same old junk as everywhere else
they had a wide variety of really good original products out (including the ever-elusive products for men!). There are a few high quality,
well-established Second Life stores that have put out free samples of their products which makes it a really awesome freebie place. It’s still
obviously a commercial place but the people behind it are genuinely making an effort to give something of value to the SL community.
One thing I noticed though was that some of the same stuff handed out everywhere else with full permissions was
given with limited permissions here. I’m not sure what that was about but as points of criticism go that is fairly insignificant.
Conclusion: This is my favorite of all the freebie places I visited. You bet I was
snapping up freebies as I wandered around doing my review! Even a long time SL resident will find stuff here they can’t resist cluttering up
their inventory with. I imagine it would be a noobie paradise when you are just starting out in SL.
