Review: 'Lil Tobago' is one of SL's Caribbean music spots, but its
not on a beach. Visitors arriving find themselves standing in a water splashed plaza where the dance floor is surrounded by a tropical shopping
area. The club is the vision of owner CoRrupT Dreadlow, who wanted the place to reflect his Trinidadian roots. The dance animations begin by
clicking on a big Trinidadian flag which shimmers under the water. Co-owner and principal DJ, Feleen Foxley, is credited with helping him
complete his dream. All Caribbean music is played, although socca and calypso are well loved because they wre birthed in Trinidad. You can also
hear lovers rock , hip hop and old school. The dance options are varied and give plenty of opportunities to bump and grind your way through the
music. In addition to Feleen, DocMarcus Giha is the other house DJ. Both are fully capable at getting the crowd pumped and when the house if
full, its quite an enthusiastic and vocal group. While you are dancing away ocean waves break gently at the edge of the plaza and send fresh
water rippling over the dance floor., a nice touch. Couples are not left out and at 'Lil Tobago' if you click on the pose balls, they will come
to you! Late evenings is time for lovers and you almost always see a few couples enjoying a slow seductive sway.
The placement of the shops around the dance floor was inspired by the dense market environment of the Caribbean . You'll see
many Caribbean flavored shops, a great selection of jewelry stores, several with pieces quite different from the regular SL bling. And for you SL
ladies who just love those knee high boots, there's a shop with a very interesting selection for you to peruse. Don't feel like dancing? No
problem. In true Caribbean fashion you can play dominoes, a game of trivia or just relax in nooks throughout the plaza. Do watch your footing in
the shallow water. There's one spot where a false step will send you down to the bottom of the sea...but a nice surprise awaits you there.
There's very little lag time here. Main hours are between 12–7 SL time.
Warning: lyrics can be racy and local chat can carry sexual innuendo, that may offend some. But if you like your partying
spicy, do visit 'Lil Tobago.'
Conclusion: Spicy Caribbean party scene!
